Cheryl Broyles was diagnosed with the Glioblastoma Multiforme brain tumor in 2000. She has survived the GBM 13 years. As of May 2013, Cheryl is still alive and loving life! During that time she has been through four brain tumor recurrences and five brain surgeries. This video is encouraging, following Cheryl through her 5th brain surgery and recovery. Giving everyone HOPE that brain surgery is not as scary as most may fear. It takes time and patients recovering, but your brain can work again after a craniotomy! Cheryl's web page is also inspiring and informative for others battling brain tumors and fighting cancer. www.cherylbroyles-gbm.com
To celebrate suriving the Glioblastoma Multiforme brain tumor for 12 years, Cheryl and her husband Matt climbed to the peak of Mt Whitney in July 2012.
Cheryl Broyles speaks at the Integrative Women's Health Conference in 2018.
I was diagnosed with the grade 4 Glioblastoma Multiforme in June 2000 and told I had less than a year to live. Four years later after brain surgery and radiation, I was still alive and loving life. To celebrate I climbed Mount Shasta. Living through hard times and climbing a snow covered mountain have many similarities. Hear what I learned while successfully making it to the peak of both. Now 10 years after being diagnosed, 4 brain surgeries, radiation, and 3 years on chemo, I am still persevering and loving life. Hope sharing what I learned helps you too!
